*this was supposed to post last night but then I had to add links. Today is Saturday.

Krondon on Power 105.1’s morning show!

Good Evening,

I hope you’re having a good night. The weather has completely cleared here and I just received an invitation to a choir member’s Christmas party. I can’t wait for the Christmas season to begin. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving here and as I write this the fire place is lit. Our first fire log of 2018. I like the logs. It’s so romantic—I can’t wait to do this with my husband.

I’m on a diet right now so it’s strict with the food intake. I’ve been trying to step it up at the gym as well.

We are 1 week away from Black Friday! Are you daring to dash to the mall? Or, are you a Cyber Monday person? They just said on ABC News that it’s important to fill up your cart pre-Cyber Monday—save everything. You can check out quickly on Cyber Monday that way and see what might be on sale.

I’d like to conquer my Black Friday mall fear. Everyone says—it’s a mad house! Well, I saved my first Black Friday event for my husband. I think it’s nice to do that as a couple. Then, top it off at the Cheesecake Factory or the mall food court. Dun dun dunnnn. lol Braving the mall!

I work in retail occasionally. I like the team atmosphere. We have such store pride at Avenue. And, Nordstrom Rack does BIG numbers—everyday! Our store goal is around $30,000! I mean, on Black Friday though—$80,000—easily. That’s pretty cool. There’s a true team atmosphere. Kathy M. was the store manager when I worked at Nordstrom Rack but she went to full line Nordstrom. It wasn’t unusual to find the store manager buzzing about the store running a tight ship. Unpacking merchandise and folding, Bonnie taught me how to be a manager in a boutique setting.

Women who work in retail are efficient, educated, and well paid. I enjoy the conversations. It really makes me a better girlfriend—working that is.

Do you have any holiday traditions? I’m always fascinated with Holiday’s around the world. Like, traditions. And, since, some of my best friends are musicians, I always listen to albums and wonder—what are the Holidays like there.

Sometimes I miss California during the holidays. I’ve never been to the Golden State during the holidays but it must be special. I can’t wait to go to other states for the holidays when I get married. Do you want to take me to Compton, California for Christmas? I know there are stereotypes and sometimes people feel like … why go somewhere where there is potential crime or drugs? I’ll tell you. I like to discover the glamour in new places like a developer. But, you can’t take away from the residents or locals. Always upgrade.

Ok, with that in mind…and because when I was younger, I used to take church tours of Italy and other countries….I thought it would be cool to go the hotel there for Christmas. Not this Christmas, but some day I would like to go to there to see the area. Especially because I’ve been following Kendrick Lamar’s career since I wrote about him for XXL unsigned artists. After Kendrick Lamar signed to Dr. Dre, he started to get attention from all the writers and industry people. Well, before too. He’s a like-able guy. But, before that there was a buzz in California…around like people on twitter that are from different parts of California that supported him. Like, one of my favorite twitter pages is this Chef from California. She’s sassy and funny and kindhearted. I hope she opens up her own restaurant one day. I always read different twitter pages to see what people are talking about. They would tweet lyrics from the Overly Dedicated album—lyrics from “Opposites Attract” or “Michael Jordan”. I liked Kendrick just to like chill out with. I used to drive with him home and listen to “Opposites Attract”. “She says she loves me, she says she loves me so she clings to me…”

Below are pictures of Kendrick Lamar from the Compton, California parade where he received the keys to the city. He deserved them. That’s how I know Compton. I heard the word from Dr. Dre but then I knew it was a place when he said he lived there. I wish they would do a holiday album. “Kendrick Lamar and TDE Presents: The Holidays”. Pleaseeee.

Kendrick Lamar as the Grand Marshall of the Compton Parade in 2015

I like to remember Kendrick during the holidays. 👕👗

This year you find all the information about the Parade here: http://www.comptoncity.org/2018christmas.asp

This year the parade is on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

You have to fill out this form Parade Entry Form to enter the parade.

You will receive a formal response from the committee by Saturday, November 24, 2018.

The time the parade starts is ?…I’ll email them and see what they say.

*There is a Laker’s Game that night but it’s @ Memphis. That’s too bad. That would have been fun. I wonder if the local high-school or college teams are playing?

I always wanted to stay at the LA Crystal Hotel and then I thought I might have a party there if I married an ex-boyfriend that was from South Central, California. We should explore South Central after the holidays. I like to do tours of different areas. I used to do a travel articles for HoneyMag.com.

If I were you, I would get there on December Monday December 3rd. Check in. Then unpack, check out the area. Then, email or link up with anyone that you might know. Then, I would go to bed early to get up early on Tuesday morning and go for a run or walk. But, if you can workout. Run the area that way you can see the different places to eat and plus it looks like you’re busy working out which always works. You can always see the vibe of a place just by driving or running the area. Right? right. Then, go and get ready back at the hotel and then go eat at a local eatery.

Make sure you rent a car. It’s important to drive around.

You can always google search different places to eat but I would say…before the parade IHOP must be poppin’. Take your mom. That would be really nice. If you got it like that, rent a booth lol. Idk. Sometimes mom’s forget and they miss you. And, then you do that and you’re good. I mean, if you’re making a little extra paper then maybe a big (BIG) (not too big tho) bouquet of flowers with yellow in it and get an outfit to match. I’d say–a shirt, sweater, skirt, undergarments, tights, shoes (2 pairs), and earrings, necklace, a bracelet, and 2 rings. If you’re making money get her hair done. This might sound like too much money and that’s why people rob people because they need the money. But, you can do all this for $550 [shirt: $60 skirt: $50 sweater: $40, undergarments: $60, tights: $30, shoes (Payless/Target): $100, necklace: $30, earrings: $40, bracelet: $30, ring:$15, ring:$15. Hair done: $90.]. Plus, paying for brunch = $750. Gas Money = $800. You can really do it for $500. But, that’s if you go to Walmart or Target. You can get a really nice outfit there and then just find a nice hair salon in the area that is like $90. If you go to Target or Walmart, then you can also do their nails. That’s probably about $750! That’s a lot. Minimum wage!! I truly believe that every person should get $3,000 a month just for being alive!

I pay for mom’s nails once every other month.

Invite the entire family but 2 tables thats’s it. Because you don’t want to like ruin the mood of everyone. But, if you’ve been really busy and bossy—just you and your mom. It would make them really happy.

Kendrick Lamar talks about Louis Burgers II in his song “Money Trees”:

“That Louis Burger never be the same, a Louis belt will never ease that pain (won’t ease that pain) but I’ma purchase when that day is jerkin’ (that day is jerkin’) Pull off at Church’s, with Pirellis skirtin’ (Pirellis skirtin’).”

LA Crystal Hotel

These are directions to the LA Crystal Hotel: Off CA-91, this straightforward casino hotel is 6 miles from the Dominguez Gap Wetlands and a 14-minute walk from Artesia Station.

People always ask why I like Kendrick because like…some reporters and journalists find them to be cocky but coming from a political perspective I think they are good for the economy. I believe that HipHop is the sphere that spins everything else and then Hollywood is the real Washington (although Washington is very underrated for a romantic spot and also just life quality.) I mean, but that’s not a new concept…a la Black and White movies. Back in the day, Hollywood = Politics. Marylin Monroe! I went to Washington with Sickamore once…I don’t know why. But, we like ended up eating at this Ethopian restaurant. And, also a Mexican restaurant. Here we are at a Mexican restaurant in NYC with Kelly Horton for my birthday party. Here we are at a Brooklyn bar. #BestBarsEver=Brooklyn. Okay, do we do a Brooklyn Bar guide!??!!

I liked the Ethopian restaurant.

Here we are at Kelly’s InStyle Magazine award ceremony for being on the show, Project Runway. She designs Handbags. MadisonKellyNYC DSC07047.JPGIsn’t he handsome? Look at that skin! Whoever ends up marrying him is a going to be so lucky!

Here’s how I get all my inspiration per city. I always link the city to the man I know there. Sickamore is a really important person in music. From mixtapes with THEE Snoop Dogg (Anyone get his cookbook on Amazon?) (lol I thought about it!!!) to a gang of teaching positions, he’s A&R’d artists like Colin Monroe to Slim, the R&B singer. Hailing from Brooklyn, Sickamore is closely linked to Tommy Hilfiger. I was going to do a tour of Brooklyn in an article where you can see where he grew up. Not only is he a hard-worker but he is genuinely interested in music. He’s like a young encyclopedia. I really admire him. I like the way he knows all about music. He’s very patient and understanding as a person and his family is very sweet. He reads all types of books! And, L♥️VES ESPN! His Mom is a Nurse and his Dad is a Journalist. They are hardworking just to give him a good life. Just like my parents. His nephew is a football player.

My parents didn’t grow up with money but they worked very hard. It’s nice to work hard for everything you have.

Anyway, that’s just a thought for another blog…to write about Brooklyn.

I, also, can write about South Jersey but I try to do that in every post—like tomorrow we are going to pick up the Turkey at Hink’s Farm around 12pm. I also have Choir Practice tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.

My friend John is from Bellville and there are lots of good bars there. That’s not how we met but it’s our “Italian Restaurant spot”.

Anyway, that’s all my thoughts for tonight. I hope you had a good day. It’s around 4:51 p.m here and I’m going to clean my room and do some laundry. Oh, the business of running a house!

Love,

Nicole

  1. My developer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP.

I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on a number of websites for about

I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it?
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated! It is the best time to make some plans for the future and it’s time to be
happy. I have read this post and if I could I wish to suggest you some interesting
things or suggestions. Perhaps you can write next articles referring to this article.
I wish to read even more things about it! There’s certainly a great
